ROPERS CLASSIC was born out of a simple belief: Ropers at all levels deserve more.
As a lifelong horseperson and active member of the roping community, I saw the success of barrel racing incentive programs — and knew it was time to bring the same opportunity to Team Roping, Breakaway Roping, and Tie-Down Roping. ROPERS CLASSIC is the first national roping incentive program offering sidepots at major futurities and jackpots across the country — and it’s just getting started.
This program was built to reward not just the rider, but the entire team behind the horse: including the breeder and the stallion owner. With no additional entry fees, lifetime eligibility for nominated foals, and sidepot payouts that reach across all levels, ROPERS CLASSIC creates more opportunity where it’s long been overdue.

As a stallion owner, ROPERS CLASSIC offers a unique opportunity to increase the value, visibility, and demand for your stallion’s progeny — in a fast-growing, incentive-driven roping industry.
Annual Enrollment:
Enroll your stallion for the season (January 1 - December 31, 2026) — early enrollment gives your progeny access to reduced nomination fees.
Progeny Eligibility for Life:
Once enrolled, your stallion’s foals are eligible for life — even if your stallion is no longer enrolled in future years.
Payouts & Promotion:
Stallion nominators receive 20% of sidepot payouts. Your stallion will also be promoted nationwide through our events, online presence, and marketing materials.

If you own or ride a progeny by a ROPERS CLASSIC enrolled stallion — your horse is eligible for life-changing earnings through our incentive program.
Here’s what you need to know:
Must Be Sired by an Enrolled Stallion:
Only foals by stallions currently enrolled in ROPERS CLASSIC are eligible to nominate.
One-Time Enrollment Fee:
Progeny enroll once and are eligible for life — no yearly fees, ever again.
Early Nomination = Lower Fees:
The earlier you enroll, the more you save. Discounts apply to foals nominated before set deadlines each year.
All 2-Year-Olds and Older Eligible Through Jan 10, 2026:
For our 2026 launch, all qualifying 2-year-olds and older can enroll for a one-time fee of $500 through January 10, 2026.
Sidepot Eligibility:
Once enrolled, your foal can compete in sidepots across the nation — but you must complete the online sidepot form before each event.
Lifelong Opportunity:
Even if the stallion drops out in the future, your already-enrolled foal remains eligible forever.

At ROPERS CLASSIC, transparency and fairness are our priorities. Every dollar collected through stallion and foal nominations is accounted for and reinvested into the program.
Fee Allocation
80% – Sidepot Payouts
Goes directly back to the ropers, breeders, and stallion owners through our nationwide incentive sidepots.
20% – Administrative Costs
Covers operations, marketing, and event coordination to keep the program running smoothly.

Each sidepot payout will be divided as follows:
60% – Paid to the Owner
20% – Paid to the Breeder
20% – Paid to the Stallion Nominator
This is be the same in all events being Team Roping, Breakaway and Tie Down Roping.
